Back to the Kitchen

These three chefs were in Paris. My husband I went to a lovely restaurant on a side street not far from our hotel. We were tired and had been walking for hours, the food smelled wonderful and the interior was so warm and inviting. When I saw the chefs in the kitchen I just had to take a picture, so I would have something to remember. But did I write down the name of the restaurant? No!  Well here they are my three chefs, in oil bar. I have been having trouble with oils, but, am always happier with the oil bars.

  1. What a wonderful painting of French chefs in the kitchen! I like the one in front, he seems to be very focused on mixing up something delicious for your dinner. Could it be a cheese souffle?

  2. Very nice, Cissy! I really like the warm color palette. Too bad you didn't recall the name of the restaurant.

  3. What a warm feeling your work has!I do not know the medium you are using. Not sure if it is available here, but the soft touch of it is lovely! The composition is very good for when there are three figures or objects. I painted three ostriches evenly spaced which was wrong!

  4. I cannot find the lovely letter I had from you....maybe it is on my blog! But thank you for the info about the oil crayons....sounds fascinating. Nowadays we find that US companies deliver even here and door to door to crown it all. (We have arrived!)
